The Dinosaur Drank Your Water
Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making
Students use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources.

Identify and define authentic problems, and significant questions for investigation

Essential Question:
Millions of years ago dinosaurs drank water. Could we be drinking the same water droplets dinosaurs drank? (Be prepared to defend your answer!)

  1. Watch the video as a whole class.
  2. In pairs - use iPads to explore WATER CYCLE APP and explore 3 different ways a water droplet travels through the water cycle.
  3. Pair share your answers to the question: Why do scientist believe water is never added or subtracted from planet earth? How can we be certain that the research results are correct?
  4. Exit Ticket: Sketch 3 phases of a water droplet.
